The Small Print

You can buy your train ticket 60 to 120 days in advance, depending on the route. By booking early, you get the best deals. All tickets have to be brought either online, through the ticket service or at ticket machines. You can never buy your train tickets onboard and this rule nearly applies to all railway companies in Europe. Ticket machines don’t accept Visa debit cards or notes, so it’s best to book online for the cheapest deals.
