Built in the 1920’s, famous for its luxurious onboard amenities, eloquent interior and service. Starts from Cape Town to Dar es Salaam, travelling through South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania. Each train carries maximum 72 people. Popular rail journey so advance reservations is required. Attractions include Kreuger National Park, the terrain and wildlife of Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls, Zambezi River and plenty more. Observation car at the back of train, has a bar, open air patio and deluxe seating area. Two Victorian-era restaurants, meals and drinks (free) are included!

3 types of sleeping cabins offering 5 star accommodation. Pullman: sofa seats that convert into single or double beds, ensuite with shower included. Deluxe: Contains Lounge area, twin or king size beds and ensuite with shower. Royal Suites take up half a train car includes ensuite with bathtub, shower, and private lounge area. Each Cabin has bar fridges and 24 hours attendant service, meals and drinks are included. Average tour last 13/14 days and runs 3 times yearly in July, August and September. Smart dress wear is encouraged
