Bicycles are allowed on certain trains during certain time periods, if a bike reservation is required make it as far in advance as possible. Customers may take up to 3 items of personal luggage free of charge. Passengers may take small animals provided they do not endanger or inconvenience anyone. Wheelchair assistance can be provided but check in advance

Anytime tickets, off peak tickets, advance train tickets and season tickets are available

Business inclusive tickets for selected journeys combine travel with say car parking and travel in London Underground

Sleeper services operate nightly and link London with most major business and holiday locations in Scotland and Southwest England and Cornwall. Cabin berths are available onboard Scotrail’s Caledonian Sleeper and First Great Western Night Riviera.

General discounts

Railcards for families travelling together, for those aged 16-25 years and for seniors which offer discounts on travel. Kids between 2-5yrs or age travel free. Children aged five to fifteen inclusive get a 50% discount on most tickets. Family & Friends Railcard – up to 4 adults and 4 children can travel together on one card, Adults can save around one third and children’s tickets cost 60% less.
